INDIAN SUMMER

Just when winter is starting to break and you are itching to get out into the garden, there they are. If you live in the north, and you're lucky, in February, you have a few weeks of an Indian summer and spend a few spring like days in the garden tending to the earliest bloomer of them all, the hardy Lenten Rose. Most likely, however, you still have snow on the ground........and even in the snow, there they are.
